Grief Support Resources
The Kevin M. Mason Funeral Home offers our exclusive G. O. A. L. S. (Going On After Loss Successfully) support groups. Our support group is available to any individual or family who feel they can benefit from individual or group support. G.O.A.L.S., under the direction of Daniel R. LaRussa is offered on a monthly basis. However, we will schedule additional meetings as necessary. The G.O.A.L.S. program is available for anyone to participate in and there is no commitment as you may attend at your will. Daniel, who is also an art therapist incorporates art, music and meditation as a means to help participants in their individual grief journey. Open conversation and communication is key.
Therefore, the group size is small and there may be multiple groups in session at one time. G.O.A.L.S. has been recommended by many health care workers and various groups. Over the years many participants have forged friendships and get together outside the group environment. We realize that not everyone is comfortable in discussing their feelings in public. The Kevin M. Mason Funeral Home has established "the compassion line", which is a telephone number you can call 24/7 to speak to us......like speaking to an old friend. To obtain the telephone number, please call the Kevin M. Mason Funeral Home and register your name and receive your individual password. Daniel also schedules individual appointments and family appointments. Throughout the year G.O.A.L.S is offered at various locations, but mostly at churches. Most often the group meets at St. Casimir's Church Social Center on the corner of Weiss St. and Clinton Street.
For children experiencing grief, Kevin M. Mason founded Stepping Stones Through Grief; which is a series of activity books for children and families alike. The coloring/activity book(s) help children identify and express their grief through skilled activities, puzzles and discussions. The Stepping Stones Through Grief has been endorsed through hospice programs, schools, psychologists alike. To obtain additional information, we invite you to call the Kevin M. Mason Funeral Home and speak with Kevin or Dan. We are always available and will do our best to help anyone GO ON AFTER LOSS SUCCESSFULLY.

The emotional upheaval these trying times can cause is sometimes so overwhelming that even the support of friends and family may not help relieve the amount of sadness and grief you feel.
