Harriet Anne Glasz, RN [nee Wolinski]

Harriet A. Glasz, [nee Wolinski], age 85, was called home by her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, after a long but very valiant illness. She was born on Tuesday, February 22, 1938, the only daughter of Frank and Irene [nee Wojik] Wolinski. She attended Buffalo City Schools, graduated from the University at Buffalo and Niagara University. She was a Registered Nurse for over 55 years and also did private practice nursing for the elderly and handicapped in their homes up until the age of 73. She grew up in the Kaisertown section of Buffalo, which she always called home. Later of Akron and Cheektowaga to be closer to family. She loved her beloved Kaisertown, the Buffalo Bills, her animals, Kenny and Jerry her beloved dogs and she enjoyed bowling, gardening, crocheting, playing bingo, trips to the Seneca-Niagara Casino, and reading murder mysteries. She had a deep faith and believed in the power of prayer. Harriet married her childhood sweetheart Edward W. Glasz in 1960. Sadly, they were only married for 6 short years before he suddenly passed away. They had two children; Benjamin W. Glasz who married Kimberly A. [nee Kennedy] and now live in California and Teresa L. [nee Glasz] Hobart who married Theodore Pichorek and now live in Akron New York. Harriet loved her grandchildren very much; Thomas [Ashley], Eddie [Carol], Elizabeth [ Samuel], Edmond [Rachel], Nancy [Thomas] and her eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Her two brothers were her fierce protectors growing up and always remained close throughout their lives until their passing; Walter J. Wolinski and his wife Jacqueline survives and resides in NYC and Gerald M. Wolinski and his wife the late Patricia J. Wolinski, both formally of New Jersey. There are nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who also survive. At Harriet's request, she asked to kindly remember her by donating to the Buffalo Animal Shelter 380 Oak Street Buffalo New York 14203.
